5 ‘It’ Bags That Are Taking Over Spring

We might not always drop cash for the latest Chanel release, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to know what’s trending. These five bags rose to the top this season for their interesting hardware updates, nostalgic resurgences and fashion-forward silhouettes. Read on and consider stretching that spring budget or simply take notes 'cause they're just so pretty.

THE ‘BLUEBIRD DISC BAG’ BY JW ANDERSON ($1,455)JW Anderson’s punk-inspired hardware has been a favorite of the fashion world for a few seasons but this new iteration is making us fall in love all over again. The circular silver barbelladds just the right amount of toughness to the pretty robin’s-egg blue suede.

THE ‘RUNAWAY SHOPPING TOTE’ BY FENDI ($2,390)Not since the counterfeit episode of Sex and the City have we seen such Fendi logomania. But the Italian fashion house is the latest brand to see its trendsetting's stock rise. So really any bucket, satchel, clutch or top-handle tote will win you major style points.

THE ‘SOUVENIR LOGO BELT BAG’ BY BALENCIAGA ($1,890)Belt bags and fanny packs aren’t going away any time soon, so if you weren’t in on the trend before, now might be a good time. Hot tip: Balenciaga's covetable new charmed version actually looks best when worn across your chest instead of around your hips.

THE ‘BOBBY 23’ BY BOYY ($1,100)Be still, our colorblock-loving hearts. BOYY has been causing a stir with its oversize buckles and unexpected color combos with fashion editors, influencers and buyers alike. BOYY’s ‘Bobby23’ specifically is the ideal size to keep you from changing purses (and losing keys) frequently.

THE ‘JOHNNY’ BY DANSE LENTE ($380)We were hard-pressed to find an influencer this fashion month who didn’t have this structured bucket bag on their arm at one point or another. Call it the Céline effect, but evidently minimalism still has a place among the charms and logos and, uh, piercings in this season's trend landscape.
